Apprenticeship Program
DIESEL TECHNICIAN
Southland has the first youth, diesel technician USDOL registered Apprenticeship Program. This program was designed to help meet the technician workforce goals of creating a pipeline of qualified, skilled technicians. It allows participates as early as high school age in the 11th or 12th grade and at least 16 years of age to participate in a Federal Registered Apprenticeship Program. Participates will receive paid, on-the-job training and related classroom instruction that sets them up for success to a pathway of a master certified diesel technician.
