Qualifications:

• Mechanical and diagnostic ability

Language skills:

Certificates/Licenses/Registrations:

• CDL Preferred or willing to obtain CDL.

Physical Demands:

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of basic engine and driveline
• Knowledge of basic electrical
• Knowledge of cab and suspension
• EPA 609 Certification
• Trailer preventative maintenance work
• Knowledge of air, hydraulic, and full power brake systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on all fleet equipment to include reefer units & lift gates
• Diagnose and repair various concerns on reefer units and lift gates
• Special projects as assigned by Service Manager
• Should be familiar with various makes and models of trucks, not just International
• Must provide own personal toolbox, air and hand tools
• Be familiar with all International Diamond Standards and Warranty Procedures

Education and/or Experience:

• Must provide certificates/documentation of any technical schools completed

Reasoning Ability:

• Must be able to form a sound opinion by careful study of available facts and options. 
• Must have the ability to complete an assigned task in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.

Physical Demands:

• Must be physically fit to stand on his feet for the majority of the shift
• Employee is entitled to 2 breaks for 15 minutes each and a 30-minute lunch/supper break
• Must be able to pass initial physical, drug screening test, and any random drug test as required
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs on a daily basis. When lifting over 80lbs, employee should be assisted with lifting equipment
• Must be able to climb a ladder up to 10ft off the ground
• Must be able to bed, stoop and squat to perform some duties

Work Environment:

• Majority of the work to be performed will take place inside the shop, but occasionally may have to work outside. 
• Mechanics will not be required to work outside during inclement weather
